Molina Waterfalls Park
The park is located in Vaccarole and covers an area of about 80,000 square metres. The formation of this area took place during the Cenozoic era (25-30 million years ago) with the appearance of rocks, thus exposed to the atmospheric agents that formed them. The park area includes the last section of the Molina valley with the confluence of the Cesara valley and the Scalucche valley.
This area is characterised by a large amount of water, which has led to the formation of numerous waterfalls and streams flowing near the rocks. The streams flow slowly through the gorge, also forming small green lakes, and then more violently, forming suggestive and thundering waterfalls.
The Waterfalls Nature Park will give you a few unforgettable hours. These places are not written about in guidebooks, you have to look for them yourself. You can only get to this park by car, despite the fact that it is 50 kilometres from Verona, 1.5 hours from Lake Garda. The road to this small town is very beautiful, most of the way passes between mountains, cherry orchards and vineyards. As soon as you enter the town of Molina, after a few metres you will see a large car park, a map of the park and signs.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the park, the whole way is a steep descent down the narrow streets of the town.
The town is beautiful, white stone houses, farmers on tractors, firewood in stacks, goats and chickens – a real Italian village.
At the end of your ticket you will be given a map showing the different routes (the map is in English or Italian).
The longest route, marked in black 3.6 km, covers all the waterfalls and panoramic views
The red route 2.3 km – covers everything except the grottoes and panorama
The shortest green route – just the waterfalls.
The whole route consists of descents and ascents, so you need good and comfortable shoes.
There are about 20 different waterfalls in the park, all of them not very big, but very beautiful. You can go bungee jumping in the park. There is also a big romantic swing that takes you right into the waterfall.
The views are extraordinary.
The park is open from March to October
