The Alcalá Street, which is where the kings used to enter the city, leads directly to the Royal Palace. Officially, there is no main street in Madrid. However, many would probably agree that Gran Via, whose name translates as “big road”, is worthy of this title.

Castellana and Recoletos boulevards, the “Gateway of Europe” (these are two office buildings located in Madrid’s Plaza de Castilla. The skyscrapers are tilted toward each other at an angle of 15° relative to the vertical).

n

Santiago de Bernabeo (home arena of Real Madrid soccer club), Columbus Monument, Plaza de España, Plaza de la Oriente Puerta del Sol, Temple of Debot (a 2nd century BC Egyptian temple), Corrida Building, Retiro Park, Atocha Station, San Francisco Grande, Opera and Palace Building.
