The Royal Palace of Caserta is the grand country palace of the Neapolitan kings in Campania, designed by Luigi Vanvitelli in the 18th century. The 1200 rooms house collections of furniture, household items, and the famous porcelain room painted in the Chinese style. Around the palace is a vast English park with numerous fountains, an aqueduct, a silk spinning manufactory with workers’ houses disguised as garden pavilions.
