ACTIVE REST

Active holidays in Umbria.

River Rafting: the only basic requirement for rafting is the ability to swim. Then just bring along your sportswear and a fair dose of courage. The Nera River offers fantastic descents suitable for rafting. After a theory lesson, put on your suit, life preserver and helmet and board the raft in search of strong emotions and breathtaking scenery. Feel the rhythm and movements of your group: the adrenaline rush will be strong the moment you find yourself fording the river, and especially when you feel like you are falling into the water because of the power of the river. This is the excitement of rafting. You can choose the duration of the descent: 1 hour or 2 hours. A crew of 1-6 people steers the boat between rapids thanks to paddles. Each dinghy will have a guide ready to lead you along the way and give orders for manoeuvres.

Tracking: The beauty of nature and the harmony of the varied landscapes on hills that sometimes become rocky and wooded mountains. A magnificent and generous nature that renews itself every season, creating highlights and vibrations of colours. Umbria is the ideal place for a complete outing, the variety of excursions allows to satisfy the needs of experts, the least sporty or the youngest travellers.

Donkey trekking: Donkeys are the ideal companion for children’s treks. Firstly, the donkey is a very docile animal, it seems to particularly enjoy contact with children, understands its natural sweetness and loves to be pampered and caressed. We offer a fun programme for young children in contact with nature in the picturesque surroundings of the national park. A donkey is a slow and cautious animal, but it is stubborn and conveys calmness and confidence. Donkeys can be taken on daily walks or real hikes: children ride the donkeys or load them with luggage. Soon a direct thread is established between the animal and its partner, a bond that only children are capable of.

Speleology and climbing: To experience the beauty of the wildest part of Umbria, climbing and speleology are essential. Come and discover the Umbria of narrow tunnels, the highest peaks and deep caves, immersed in the silence of the peaks and bowels of Umbria: one of the most important cliffs of Europe, walls and routes suitable for all climbers and their abilities. Caves that offer a unique and unrepeatable experience to experienced speleologists as well as simple amateurs. Speleology at the Marmoré waterfall: between stalactites and stalagmites like stone giants and cavities illuminated by rays of light, you will feel like a real explorer. The journey to the foot of the Marmoré Falls starts from the Campacci Di Marmoré Park.
