Cavallino Matto Amusement Park
A 2 hour drive from Florence is Cavallino Matto
This is one of the largest children’s amusement parks in Tuscany, Cavallino Matto (“Crazy Horse”).
The park is located in Marina di Castagnetto Carducci, in a pine grove 500 metres from the sea.
The park is certainly inferior in size to the more famous Gardaland and Mirabilandia, but the big advantage is the absence of huge queues.
The park is located on an area of 100,000 square metres.
There are 23 rides to suit all tastes. There are also children’s shows and activities.
There are restaurants on site for snacks.
The rides are varied: you can ride a cable car, explore a rope town, get aqua make-up, ride a carousel or take a magical canoe ride to fairyland.
The Cavallino Matto park also has options for the whole family and extreme sports enthusiasts.
For children, there’s an African village-style playground with cabins, slides and other attractions.
The selection of attractions for children under 5 is extremely small. Most of the attractions are aimed at children aged 6 and up.
The park is open from late March to late September
