Ballenberg

In the Ballenberg Ethnographic Park you will see Switzerland as it once was. Here, on an area of 660,000 square metres, there are about 100 wooden buildings and stone structures from different historical eras and regions of the country. The interior decoration of the museum’s “exhibits” fully recreates the life and lifestyle of the Swiss in the past. About 250 species of farm animals and birds, gardens and fields are represented in the park. Traditional crafts such as wood carving, basket weaving, spinning, weaving, lace making, blacksmithing, cheese making and baking are presented to viewers in working workshops. This excursion will appeal not only to adults, but also to children. There is a children’s corner and playgrounds on the territory of the museum.
