Etruscan necropolises and Orsini Castle – Odescalchi of the 15th century, Spa Terme dei Papi

The archaeological excavations and findings in the Cerveteri area of Lazio have become a sensational event not only for historians and art historians, but also for the entire world community.

The discovery of ancient burials – Etruscan necropolises – has opened the door to the world of the past of a little-known and powerful state in Italy – Etruria.

Excursion programme:

  • Visits to Ceri (fortress town)
  • Visits to the Etruscan Necropolises at Cerveteri
  • Transfer to Lake Bracciano, a volcanic lake, on the shores of which the town itself is situated, is the sixth deepest and eighth largest lake in Italy
  • Visit the Orsini Castle – Odescalchi of the XV century – Ancient castle in the town of Bracciano
  • Lunch in a restaurant on the shores of the picturesque Lake Bracciano, where you will be offered dishes from lake fish.
  • Transfer to Viterbo, where you will spend a few hours in the pool with healing water, the properties of which were appreciated by the ancient Romans, and in the Middle Ages the Popes built a thermal complex, where you can still enjoy the pleasant warmth of the pool in the open air at any time of the year. The water temperature reaches 58 degrees centigrade. Natural grottoes, mud therapy, massages, contrast foot baths and other services are available for an additional fee.
