Cathedral with a visit to the golden altar – the jewelled richness of the altar surpasses all imaginable limits. The altar consists of 80 miniature icons framed in gold and decorated with various precious stones;

The Staircase of Giants – a tour of the halls of the Doge’s Palace begins in the inner courtyard. From there, the grand Staircase of Giants leads to the first floor, made of the most precious marble, specially brought to Venice from the Apuan Alps;
The Halls of Government – with breathtakingly original interiors, you can see paintings by: Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto, the Bassano brothers, Bosch and his contemporaries;
The Bridge of Sighs from the inside – (Ponte dei Sospiri) is a small Baroque arched structure that connects the Doge’s Palace and the prison;
The New Prison – one of the two old prisons in the Doge’s Palace;
Saint Zachariah Square – where the Church of San Zaccaria is located;
The Greek Church of Saint George is an Orthodox church in the Castello district, the main church of the Italian Metropolis of the Patriarchate of Constantinople. The church’s bell tower is leaning;
Palazzo Liassidi – Palazzo Zorzi Liassidi is a historic Gothic palace located in the Castello neighbourhood. Today it houses the Liassidi Palace Hotel;
Greek Quarter – deep within which is the Greek Orthodox Church of San Giorgio dei Grechi;
Devil’s Bridge – located in the Castello district. History has not preserved information about why this pretty bridge was named so;
Piazza Santa Maria Formosa – Campo Santa Maria Formosa – is located in the Castello district. It is one of the largest squares in the city;
“The House of Othello” – According to legend, this is the house where the character in Shakespeare’s play lived. The house was built in Art Nouveau style, but elements of Venetian Gothic were also used;
“The House with the Angel” – The wings of a girl were associated with guardian angels.
