GLADIATOR SCHOOL

The gladiator school in Rome is an opportunity to learn about the lives of the most famous fighters of antiquity, not from books or the stories of a guide, but in a real training camp, holding a sword and learning fighting techniques. What boy does not dream of such a thing? But don’t think that girls won’t be interested. Boys and girls ages 6 to 15 will love a lesson at Gladiator School!

The two-hour masterclass will have your little fighter:

  • will dress in a tunic as was customary in the ancient Roman era
  • will see the weapons and armour of legionaries, praetorians and gladiators,
  • will learn the basics of fencing (using a wooden sword rudis) under the guidance of an experienced instructor,
  • will get acquainted with the tactics of battle,
  • various battle secrets and tricks through active training games,
  • will receive a certificate-grand certificate of training in the Roman School of gladiators.
  • Under the guidance of an experienced mentor, young travellers will learn what gladiators wore, what techniques and weapons they used, how they trained and how they fought. All instructors at the Gladiator School are members of the Roman Historical Society, which specialises in reconstructing scenes of life and combat in ancient Rome.

The workshop can take place in a group or you can book an individual workshop just for your children.

The price includes a session in English or Italian, including a visit to the gladiator museum,

a training session at the school, and a final battle led by a real gladiator.

Additional services of a Russian-speaking interpreter can be arranged for the accompanying guide.
