Mini tour of Calabria (3 days)

Tropea, Pizzo, Scylla, Pentidattilo, Bova (conducted by car)

1 day – Departure to Tropea in the morning and tour of the historic city centre. Lunch on your own or in a restaurant. After lunch transfer to Pizzo and tour of the castle where Murat was shot, visit to the church of Our Lady of Piedigrotta, dug in tufa by a group of shipwrecked sailors who miraculously escaped death and were saved on this shore. At the end of the tour you will be able to savour the famous truffle ice-cream in the main square of Pizzo. Arrival in the evening at the hotel in Reggio Calabria: dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Departure to Scylla for a tour of the fortress and the quaint neighbourhood of Chianalea with its houses growing out of the sea.Free lunch or dinner at the hotel. In the afternoon excursion to Reggio Calabria: cathedral, bronze warriors from Riace and walk along the promenade, called by the poet D’Annunzio “the most beautiful kilometre of Italy”. Also of interest is a visit to the Bergamot Museum, a fruit cultivated exclusively in the area, which like the citron is widely used in cookery and cosmetics. Free shopping in the main street of the city. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – In the morning departure to the deserted town of Pentidattilo, situated on a mountain in the shape of five fingers, from where it takes its name. Transfer to Bova, a small town of Greek culture, where a tasting lunch based on typical products of Hellenistic culture will be offered. Exploration of the town. Return to the hotel in the evening: dinner and overnight stay.
