The meeting can be agreed, depending on your location.
This tour includes a visit to Villa Cordellina Lombardi Montecchio Maggiore, 15 km from Vicenza. This villa was built in the Palladian style and decorated with frescoes by Tiepolo. In the vicinity of Vicenza there are ruins of castles from the Scaliger era, the rulers of Verona, who ruled Vicenza for many years in the 14th century. These are the so-called castles of Romeo and Juliet in Montecchio Maggiore. It was here, near these castles, that the first modern Italian version of the tale of Romeo and Juliet was written, which later inspired the great William Shakespeare to write the famous tragedy. And who among us does not know that “there is no story sadder in the world than the tale of Romeo and Juliet…”
If you wish, you can organize a wine tasting of Gambellar wines during this tour.
