Exclusive tour: truffle hunting with the chef of the Bellagio restaurant
A super exciting holiday on Lake Como in the mountains at the top of Bellagio, about 40 kilometres north of Milan: you can go mushrooming or truffle hunting with the chef, his secret truffle hunters and his dog.
The chef will pick you up from the town of Bellagio at 10:00am and take you by private minibus straight to the mountains.
The truffles and mushrooms grow on the private land of the restaurant owner’s family with stunning views of the beautiful Lake Como.
You will be able to search for truffles with the owner’s dog, who will tell you many interesting things.
After the hunt, the restaurant’s kitchen in Bellagio will open up to you, where you will learn how to wash and preserve truffles and mushrooms and, of course, how to cook them.
The chef will then personally prepare for you a salad with fresh mushrooms and truffles, courgette flower risotto paired with homemade tagliolini and an amazing local dessert, all served with local (Italian) wine. (Menus may vary seasonally).
You can enjoy your lunch and relax on the terrace of the restaurant.
At 2:30pm you will return to the town of Bellagio in a private van with the chef.
Please dress comfortably, in loose sports or casual clothes and comfortable shoes.
In case of bad weather – the tour will not take place, if the tour has already been booked, it will be rescheduled with the client’s agreement or cancelled with a refund.
