WINE AND FOOD TASTING

Tasting of wines and typical products of Sardinia.

We invite you on a journey of discovery of exquisite tastes and aromas, immersed in a unique and original atmosphere.

On this tour you will learn about the technology of wine production, visit the famous cellars and find out why the Sardinians call a wine of 12% strength “compote”.

You will be offered several tasting menus to choose from. Each menu includes snacks such as cheeses and locally produced meats, typical products of Sardinia.

The tasting can be combined with a “sightseeing” tour and can also be included, if desired, in almost all of the excursions offered.

The tasting can be booked at various locations in Sardinia, depending on the location of your hotel.

The tasting will include a local tasting of canonave, the famous red wine produced on the island.

Try it alongside local cheeses and sausages. Or vermentino, a white wine that pairs well with local seafood. Or homemade wines.

You can also try local cheeses and sausages such as:

Pecorino – a hard sheep’s cheese often served with honey or fruit.

Carasau sausage is a traditional Sardinian sausage made with pork, spices and sugar.

Seafood carpaccio is thinly sliced fresh seafood, usually served with olive oil and lemon juice.

Fritura is an assortment of fried seafood such as squid, prawns and fish.

Seadas is a traditional Sardinian dessert consisting of deep-fried dough filled with cheese and is perfect with honey.

Mirto is a tincture made from the berries of the myrtle bush, a perfect accompaniment to sweet desserts.

Enjoy the authentic flavours and atmosphere of Sardinia during your tasting tour of these wonderful products.
