Tour of the world of cheese and wine in Sardinia.
The tour takes place only in the morning, sometimes in the early morning, due to the peculiarities of the work of the cheese factories
Who do you think is second in the list of long-lived people after the Japanese? You don’t have to think long, because the answer is already ready – the people of Sardinia! And the key to such records is, first of all, in nutrition. And what do they eat? A lot of things, but basically it is seafood, cheese and wine. Of course, they do not consume them three times a day, but these products in sufficient quantity and excellent quality are present in the diet of the Sards without fail. And what prevents you from knowing what quality and flavour Sardinian wine and cheeses should be. You can taste them at the ancient cheese and wine production facilities on our tour.
Cheese production: first on your itinerary will be the production of Italian cheeses. During the tour you will be able to visit the halls where fresh and aged cheeses are stored. You will learn the secrets of storage, packaging and even production. You will see how they produce Pecorino Sardo, Pecorino Romano, Ricotta Gentile, do you know these names? You will be able to observe all the stages of making “Sardinian Sheep Cheese”, “Sheep Romano Cheese”, “Polite Ricotta” and not only.
Tasting: After becoming “connoisseurs” of Sardinian cheeses, the best place for their “full” tasting is at the local Wine Museum, where you can taste not only the best wines of Sardinia, but also take a wine ethnographic tour back in time.
After visiting each of the businesses, you’ll be treated to a much-anticipated cheese and wine tasting where you’ll be able to taste the true flavours of Sardinia. Along with the cheeses, traditional foodstuffs of the region will be served.
Cities and landscapes: In addition to the main tour, you will be able to admire the beautiful and unusual nature of Sardinia.
If you wish, at the end of the tour you can organise a master class of traditional Sardinian cuisine or lunch in a local restaurant or agritourism.
