Paris has two zoos and two aquariums.
The old cage zoo is located in the Bois De Vincennes. The cage-type zoo is located in the Gare d’Austerlitz (Austerlitz Station) area.
It is located on the territory of an ancient botanical garden, founded before the French Revolution. A museum of paleontology is also built on the territory of this botanical garden.
Both zoos have unique collections of animals, birds, reptiles.
In the former Museum of Colonial Art, next to the Vincennes Forest and the zoo, you can visit a unique aquarium, where fish of different continents, sizes and species are presented.
The Trocadéro Aquarium, one of the most impressive aquariums in France, reopened in 2008, with pools ten meters high and a wide variety of fish.
Zoos and aquariums are an unforgettable part of a child’s Parisian program!
