NIGHT COLISEAU

Night Colosseum is a tour for those who want to experience Rome’s main attraction without the hustle, bustle and crowds. The tour is unique in that you will see the Colosseum at the most mystical time after

sunset and visit those rooms that are closed to the public during the main hours of operation.

At night, when it is lit up and there are few people, the Colosseum is surrounded by a magical atmosphere and is a wonder to behold, and it is possible to visit the Colosseum’s basement and the floors of the arena.

You will pass through a labyrinth of tunnels and passages in the basement of the Colosseum, where the preparation for gladiatorial fights took place and where the animals were kept, locked in cages, to be lifted to the top of the arena.

So on the floor of the arena, crossing a path more than 170 metres long, you can admire all the majesty of the Colosseum, immersed in the mystical ancient atmosphere that enveloped these spaces.

Open hours:

Open every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 20:00 to 24:00 (last admission at 22:30).
