Malaga – the capital of the province of the same name and the second largest city in Andalusia by population, with 560,000 residents.
The airport of the city, named after Pablo Picasso — the third busiest in Spain. In the Old Town of Malaga, which was formed during the Moorish era, are the main attractions: the Cathedral, the Alcazaba fortress, the Roman theater discovered by archaeologists in the mid-20th century, and the Pablo Picasso House Museum.
At the highest point of the city, on Mount Gibralfaro, there is the fortress and viewpoint of the same name, which offers the best view of the city and the port of Malaga. From here, you can descend to the historic center of the city. Plaza Merced, the former central square of the city, is the place where the artist Pablo Ruiz Picasso was born in 1881.
The Automobile Museum — one of the most interesting museums in the city that must be visited.
Larios Street — the main pedestrian street of the Old Town and undoubtedly the most beautiful. Not far from here is the bar “Casa de Guardia”, one of the oldest in the city, where you can try local sweet wine “Moscatel”.
The Cathedral of the city, nicknamed “One-Handed”, due to the absence of one of its bell towers, impresses with its magnificence. Next to the Cathedral is the Episcopal Palace and the square of the same name.
