On the northern coast of the island, washed by the sea, lies the stunning Cape Formentor. The excursion to this beautiful place will allow you to enjoy the delightful landscape, the beauty of which is hard to put into words.
Here, the water is crystal clear, there is a beautiful beach with fine white sand, steep cliffs descending right to the sea, and peaks covered with evergreen forests. Among the main attractions of the island are also the ancient lighthouse of the 19th century and the watchtower of the 16th century.
You will definitely ascend to the observation deck, which is located at an altitude of about 300 meters. From there, you will have a wonderful panoramic view of the most famous cape of Mallorca.

The next stop on the journey will be the Monastery of Lluc, excursions here are a true mystery. The Monastery of Lluc is an important pilgrimage site in Mallorca, located at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level in the Sierra Tramuntana mountains in the north of the island. It is considered the spiritual center of all the Balearic Islands and a place of pilgrimage.
According to legend, the first chapel was built on the site of the discovery of the image of the Virgin Mary, which was found by a local shepherd somewhere in 1229. However, in 1520, the image was mysteriously lost, and a sculpture in the Gothic style appeared in its place. You will learn more about this story during our excursion.
It is still here today – the statuette of the Holy Virgin of Lluc or the Black Madonna, which is considered the main shrine of the island. There are many such statues in the world, but there are only three in Spain – one in the Monastery of Lluc, another in the equally popular pilgrimage site – the Monastery of Montserrat, and the third in the Canary Islands.
The Black Madonna got its name due to the very dark shade of its face. This color is formed as a result of using black stone, black wood, or due to prolonged exposure to soot from candles.
Another feature of the Monastery of Lluc is that there is a museum on its territory where you can see archaeological finds dating back to prehistoric times. The monastery itself is surrounded by a beautiful garden that was established here in 1956.
And at the end of the excursion, you will visit a wine cellar, where you will have the opportunity to stroll among the vineyards, taste local liqueurs, wines, and also try typical products from Mallorca.
