Because it is home to the factory founded by Enzo Ferrari, and this is where his “red dream” – Ferrari – was born. “Thanks to dreams, a person lives,” are the words of Enzo Ferrari himself, just like: “Ask a child to draw a car, and he will definitely draw it red.”
In Maranello, you can feel the atmosphere of Formula 1 at the Ferrari Gallery, a museum that houses all the trophies won by the red car and prototypes of the latest sports cars.
For those who want to experience the thrill of driving the “red dream,” some Ferraris are available for test drives (don’t forget to bring your international driver’s license and passport).
The Gallery in Maranello, the official exhibition of the famous automotive company, is a true guardian of the world of Ferrari. Here, cars, photographs, and awards that have become milestones in the history of this global brand are collected. That is why the Ferrari Gallery, opened in February 1990, is not a traditional unchanging collection of cars and other exhibits, but a dynamic, constantly replenished exhibition.
In October 2004, a new wing of the museum was opened, resulting in a total exhibition area of 2500 square meters.
The exhibition of the gallery is divided into several thematic parts, and its content will be interesting not only to ordinary visitors but will also satisfy the most discerning connoisseurs and fans of Ferrari: Formula Uno, Sport cars, and Sport-Prototipo, the world of Granturismo. In the gallery, you can see the very first Ferrari, the 125S from 1947, and Enzo Ferrari’s office in Modena with original furnishings.
This year, among the new exhibition highlights, it is worth mentioning the new unusual “Hall of Victories,” which features single-seater cars that have won races in recent years (from 1999-2008), as well as another 110 awards and original helmets of 9 winning drivers of the World Championship.
