Perhaps many have heard of the unusual mountain Montserrat, the peaks of which resemble sculptures created by humans. But to believe that this was created by nature is impossible.
About 80 monks live in the monastery, and services are held every day. There is a fascinating museum on the premises and one of the most unique shrines in the religious world — the statue of the Holy Virgin Mary of Montserrat. It is believed that it helps to achieve the happiness of motherhood. According to legend, the statue was carved by Saint Luke and hidden in the mountains of Montserrat from the wicked. More than a hundred years later, it was discovered in a cave by shepherds, guided by an inexplicable glow and angelic singing. A chapel was built at this site.
