Day 1. Cagliari — first acquaintance with the island

Description:

Private transfer to the city. Upon arrival — free time for a walk in Cagliari.

The city tour begins at the port and Via Roma. Next — the monument to Carlo Felice in Piazza Yenne, the shopping Via Mannu, Royal Square, and the Cathedral of Saint Mary.

In the Castello district — Bastione di San Remy, city panoramas, ancient palaces, Torre di San Pancrazio, and Torre dell'Elefante. In the Stampace and Marina districts, the residences of noble families, narrow streets, and buildings from different eras have been preserved.

Day 2. Oristano, Pecorino, and the wine region

Description:

Private transfer to Oristano. In the center — a calm urban environment, medieval architecture, and traces of the past of the Judicate of Arborea.

Main points: Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta with a dome of colored majolica, Eleonora d'Arborea Square, and the tower of Mariano II.

Upon request — a visit to a pecorino cheese craft production with tastings of cheeses of different ages. Then — a local winery, Sardinian wines, and snacks.

Optionally in season — a folklore evening in Oristano or one of the nearby villages: traditional music, costumes, local cuisine, and wines. The format depends on the holiday calendar and events.

Day 3. Lagoons and Oysters

Day's program:

  • Private transfer to the coastal area near Oristano
  • Oyster farm in the lagoon
  • Cultivation lines and stages of oyster maturation
  • Oyster tasting with white or sparkling wine (upon request)
  • Private yacht from Cagliari (optional)
  • Villasimius and Cape Carbonara (optional)
  • Fishing with a Captain (optional)

Description:

Private transfer to the coastal area near Oristano. The main focus of the day — lagoons and an oyster farm.

At the farm, they show the cultivation lines, stages of oyster maturation, and the water characteristics that affect the product's taste. Upon request — tasting fresh oysters with white or sparkling wine.

Optionally — a day at sea: a private yacht from Cagliari along the southern coast, stops for swimming, SUP, or snorkeling, lunch as per preference.

Optionally — Villasimius and Cape Carbonara: beaches with quartz sand, Notteri Lake, an old fortress, coastal towers, and a marine reserve.

Optionally for fishing enthusiasts — a boat or yacht outing with a captain. Gear and equipment are provided; format — coastal fishing or trolling depending on the weather and season.

Day 4. Piscinas Dunes and Iglesias

Day's program:

Description:

Private transfer to Iglesias. In the historic center — the Cathedral of Saint Chiara, the town hall, the Church of San Francesco, medieval towers, and fragments of city walls.

Upon request — Porto Flavia, a former industrial area and mine on the coast, linked to the history of ore extraction in southwestern Sardinia.

After lunch — Costa Verde and Piscinas Dunes. The beach stretches for about 7 km, and the sand dunes rise up to 60 meters and extend deep into the island.

On the way — Ingurtosu, a former mining village among closed mines and dilapidated buildings.

Optionally for archaeology enthusiasts — Nora near Pula: ruins of the Roman forum, thermal baths, theater, houses with mosaics, temples, the sanctuary of Asclepius, the Spanish tower Coltellazzo, and the 11th-century Church of San Efisio.

Day 5. Sant'Antioco Island and the ancient necropolis

Day's program:

  • Private transfer to Sant'Antioco Island

Description:

Private transfer to Sant'Antioco Island, connected to Sardinia by road and bridge.

The island is linked to the ancient cultures of southwestern Sardinia. The route includes archaeological traces from different eras: domus de janas, menhirs, nuraghi, and an ancient necropolis.

Upon request — a meeting with Maestro Chiara Vigo, the guardian of the tradition of marine silk made from Pinna Nobilis fibers and a UNESCO award winner for intangible heritage.

Day 6. Grottos of Is Zuddas or a day of rest

Day's program:

Description:

Private transfer to the Sulcis region. The main option — the Grottas di Zuddas, located about 60 km from Cagliari.

The caves were opened in the 1960s. The dolomite rocks are over 530 million years old; a part of the underground route with halls, stalactites, and stalagmites is accessible for visiting.

Main areas — Organ Hall with a stalactite-stalagmite column and Excentric Hall with rare aragonites of horizontal structure.

Clothing recommendation: sports shoes with a textured sole, a light sweater or jacket. It is cool and humid in the caves.

Optionally — a free day for relaxation. Dinner at your preference.

Day 7. Conclusion of the itinerary

Breakfast and a free morning. Private transfer to Cagliari Airport.
