Day's program:
Description:
Getting to know Venice begins with the main symbols of the city: St. Mark's Square, the basilica, Piazzetta, Doge's Palace, St. Mark's Basin, and the Bridge of Sighs. The walk includes not only iconic views but also details that are easily missed without a guide: the layout of the square, the symbolism of the winged lion, the history of the Clock Tower, and the origins of the names of Venetian bridges.
The narrative centers on Venice's journey from a settlement on marshy islands to the capital of a powerful maritime republic. A special emphasis is placed on the Fourth Crusade, Venetian colonies, trade in the Mediterranean, and the wealth brought from Byzantium.
The route continues through the Castello district and concludes at Rialto — the bridge that has connected the banks of the Grand Canal for centuries and was linked to the center of medieval world trade. Upon request — a gondola ride: a classic option with a guide or an evening format at sunset with champagne and musicians.
Day's program:
Description:
The day takes place in the Venetian Lagoon, on the islands of Murano and Burano. The journey on a private wooden boat takes about forty minutes; along the way, you can see the water, the low lines of the islands, and the more tranquil rhythm of the lagoon beyond central Venice.
Murano resembles a smaller Venice: canals, old houses, its own Grand Canal, and a much quieter atmosphere. The main theme of the island is glass. For centuries, the secrets of glassmaking have been preserved here, and glassmakers were long forbidden to leave the island to protect the technologies for producing mirrors, glasses, and artistic glass.
Upon request, a master class at a family factory is available: a glass, vase, or other item created during the session can become a personal souvenir from the trip. It is also possible to purchase original works directly from the factory.
After lunch — Burano: an island of bright facades, fishing houses, and lace tradition. The color of the houses here historically helped fishermen recognize their homes from the water, and lace has become the second important craft line of the lagoon. In the finale — a panoramic passage along Torcello, an island with Byzantine heritage.
In the evening, upon request — a bacaro tour. This is a walk through Venetian bars with cicchetti and Spritz, through local neighborhoods, Campo Santo Stefano, the Church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, and other places where Venice maintains its everyday rhythm for locals.
Day's program:
Description:
This day can be built around the main museum and art addresses of Venice. The Doge's Palace is linked to six centuries of political history: here sat the Great Council and Senate, state services operated, prisons and ceremonial halls of the rulers of the Venetian Republic were located.
The palace tour includes the inner courtyard, bronze wells, an 18th-century gondola, a box for secret denunciations, and a grand ascent up the 'Golden Staircase' of Sansovino. In the halls — ceilings alla veneziana, carvings, gilding, and canvases by masters of the 16th century: Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese, and other artists of the Venetian school.
St. Mark's is the center of ceremonial Venice. The square features the Clock Tower, Doge's Palace, the columns of St. Mark and St. Theodore, the Campanile, and the basilica. Inside the cathedral — golden mosaics, the Chapel of the Madonna Nicopeia, and Byzantine treasures behind the altar from the 14th century.
The Peggy Guggenheim Museum is suitable for a focus on 20th-century art. In Palazzo Venier dei Leoni on the Grand Canal, works by Picasso, de Chirico, Dalí, Pollock, Kandinsky, Magritte, and other masters of European and American modernism are collected.
The Academy Gallery offers a chance to see Venice through the paintings of the 15th-16th centuries. The focus is on Titian, Veronese, Bellini, Tintoretto, Giorgione, the development of the Venetian school, the language of symbols, hidden meanings, and everyday details that artists embedded in their canvases.
Upon request, the day can be complemented with a photo session in carnival costumes or a master class on Venetian masks. For a special format — a walk through the lagoon on a modern glass boat with a seafood dinner, local wines, or a tasting with cicchetti on board.
